LSU Freshman Pitcher Ma’Khail Hilliard has a night

He Ks 7 swinging through 4 innings. If that wasn’t impressive enough he got Bryce J, Watson, and Cabrera twice each.
I know it’s just the fall but I don’t think Cabrera Kd twice a game all summer.
He’s not a big kid but he’s got a big time 12-6 curve with tons of spin on it. FYI.

Hilliard is new. Cabrera is new. They’re all on campus and playing... unless a player is injured. Storz falls in that category.

Thanks ell. I followed him last year after he committed. Read where his spin rate was faster than Lange's and several other big names, if I remember correctly.

I think he has more of a slider but it is nasty. Hilliard will only get better the mechanics and mound presence are there. There is an older article somewhere before lsu offered where lsu used there tracking software to measure the spin rate on his slider when he camped . The spin rate was off the chart and was comparable with elite big leaguers. Lsu offered right after that. Great kid and even better family. He will be a great tiger.
