What the frick? First of all, the man who did this deserves to be under the jail for a very long time.

I wouldn't find it hard to believe a young person today might get into a car with a stranger even with having a feeling of danger just to avoid any appearance of racism.

If there's no more to this story than "random black dude" (no video from any of the campus security cameras, the Flock cameras, etc), no physical descriptions (height, weight, tattoos), no description of the car, etc. then I have to wonder as to the legitimacy as well.
Tigerland to Annie Boyd is a trek. She had no one she could call to pick her up? She had no one she could call just to talk to her while she made the walk, or got in the car with some stranger?
How many non-prostitute females get into cars with random strangers in the middle of the night?
I'm not saying she's lying, but I am saying the lack of information in the story gives it some hallmarks of "I need to have an excuse to tell my boyfriend when he finds out I didn't get back until 1:30am".
