Meh. I've heard the "minding my own business" account before. It's never been true then. There is no reason to think its true now.

What probably happened:

Drunk guy in truck trying to leave parking lot. Players hanging around in the way. Drink guy says something to players (probably not politely). Players say something not polite back. Drunk guy inches truck forward. Maybe he taps one of the players, maybe not; regardless anger ensues.

Players start fighting drunk guy. Superman-hero-best-friend of drunk guy jumps in an starts yanking people round. Superman-hero get hit early and often.

Fight eventually subsides as more sober players start pulling friends back.

If arrests are made, players will be suspended. If arrests aren't made, this is a non-issue.

Mett must have walked out with his GF.

BATON ROUGE - Police investigating a fight outside a bar near the LSU campus said they are looking into the involvement of several Tiger football players, including quarterback Jordan Jefferson.

Sgt. Don Stone with Baton Rouge Police said four people were injured in the fight, which happened outside a bar on East Boyd Avenue.
He said witnesses "implicated" Jefferson and other players in the altercation, but Jefferson had not been named a suspect and no arrests had been made.

Officials at LSU had no comment, saying they had no information about the situation.

From what I've seen around town in the last few years regarding football players, fights are almost always started by some douchebag trying to look cool in front of their friends.

However, with the upcoming game approaching, and the team practicing so much, they Blow off steam. And when alcohol is added to the equation its bad.
