I have just two things to add:
1. Watch your comments about Jefferson
2. When do videos of the fight from cellphone start to emerge?
Good point. If there was a fight going down in the parking lot there would be plenty of cell phones capturing the incident.

I don't aways go to bars and get my arse kicked in, but when I do I go to Shady's at 2:00am,
Drink responsibly my friend.

**BREAKING NEWS**
It has been confirmed that the victim of said beating was Andrew Hatch. He was reported as driving away and yelling "LEE FOR HEISMAN!!!" when Jordan Jefferson and others jumped in the back of his El Camino, punched the glass out, and pulled Hatch through the broken glass and proceeded to beat him. It's been reported that Jordan Jefferson missed a few swings, but Russell Shepard was able to reel them in to avoid being punch in the face.

Well, we probably will look like idiots for making fun of Darron Thomas. Its one thing to say officer I didn't smoke weed, its another to have a video of you taking swings at people.

To say the least, I hope JJ puts his good running shoes on today before practice.

I've seen tons of fights at the bars at LSU and I have never seen fight where a guy was yanked from his car for minding his own business and then is hero-of-a-friend (also completely minding his own business) got beat up for trying stop it.
Well, as bzoner's story goes... dude wasn't minding his own business. The players were in his way and he tried to get them to move. It escalated from there.
That's the story anyway.
We may never find out the whole truth but hopefully the cops are interviewing everyone they can find.
Gotta think a lot of witnesses are going to be reluctant to snitch on LSU football players though.

I love how this thread is full of people knighting for the players.
Let's let the facts come out and judge then.
I don't think it is as much knighting as it is people realizing there is likely more to the story.
I think the players are aware that they have to watch their actions, but sometimes something is done to set someone off and things snowball from there.
No one was seriously injured and no arrest were made. If some players messed up I am sure CLM will handle it as he sees fit.
I know its a story, but people will read too much into it... thats just what happens.

Let's wait and see. But I would think that you will have X number of ballplayers who will essentially say one thing and a couple of other guys who will say different. Who is telling the truth? Is there a security camera at the bar?

Can anyone confirm or deny if Don Yano was at the scene at the time of the alleged incident?

quote:Yeah, but for no reason at all?
Ever see one where a starting WR beats a guy up, breaks his hand, and then gets tazed?
With the other guy a completely innocent party, just minding his own business?

Tiger Todd and Lamont Roland say yes

So Oregon is tweeting about this & talking shite saying Jefferson should be off the team?
Pot meet kettle
Legarrette Blount punched an opposing player on the field (and was appropriately suspended for most of the season) but was welcomed back for the Rose Bowl with open arms. And he's now playing in the NFL. I mean, cmon.
