So what we can gather is that there was a fight in which Jordan Jefferson beat up some guy who was in his truck. The guy was trying to leave but couldn't get by to get out because a group of football players were in the way. The guy honks, all of a sudden they pull him out of the truck, beats the hell out of him, he gets back in and leaves.
During that time a marine comes along and Jordan Jefferson beats him up and 4 people went to the hospital.
Is this pretty much what happened?

There are some things you just don't do and getting in a fight 2 weeks before your first game has to rank right up there.

You know what? I was thinking of the Shepard incident for some reason. You're right about the recruiting violation, but Miles handled it by removing the coach and the player didn't play a down. LSU handles violations as well as any other school, they are typically the model of how to handle violations. Self report and take action before the NCAA has to do anything.
