LSU Football Jersey Numbers Available for 2020 Season

Thought I'd make a list of the available numbers for jersey switching for current players and for the new players in the 2020 recruiting class.
*- denotes a number voted on by team/coaches
1 - must be defensive player due to Ja’Marr Chase, unless he switches to 7
2
5- must be offensive player only if Devonta Lee switches to defense, as he and Kary Vincent, Jr. were both #5
6- must be defensive player due to Terrace Marshall Jr.
7*
8- must be defensive player due to Peter Parrish
9- must be offensive player due to Marcel Brooks

Note: Numbers 20, 21, and 37 are retired. Players may still wear 21 and 37, but coaches are unlikely to give out those jerseys. While we all know 9 will be retired for Joe Burrow, it cannot be retired for at least 5 years.
Make your predictions below on who you think gets which numbers, both in current players and incoming freshmen/transfers.

No player will wear 9 again. Marcel might change.

Roy will be 99 and Guillory will be 90, I know that.
Pretty sure Ricks will be 1 and Gilbert will be 2.

1: Elias Ricks, it just seems like a good fit
5: Kevontre Bradford, the next great LSU rb to wear 5.
6: Jordon Toles
7: Derek MF Stingley
8: BJ Olujari
9: Kayshon Boutte, though I wouldn't put it past the team to avoid giving this number due to reverence.
Who is #21 retired in honor of? I know 20 is Cannon and 37 is Casanova.

Has anybody ever worn 00?

I personally think it'll be:
1- Elias Ricks
2- Dwight McGlothern & Trey Palmer
5- Kevontre Bradford
6- Marcel Brooks or Jordan Toles
7- Derek Stingley, Jr.
8- Phillip Webb
10- Kayshon Boutte or Max Johnson
18- Jacoby Stevens
19- Koy Moore
40- Antoine Sampah
45- Josh White
48- BJ Ojulari
the linemen numbers are a little hard to predict, but I think these are fairly accurate

Why’d you leave out the best player out of all of them ?

I am embarassed to admit that I didn't know 21 had been retired.

Wasn't Johnson wearing 14 at practice during the holidays?
The mid year grads should start practicing next week or so, thus their numbers will be assigned as well as any changes.

it's hard to tell what number Gilbert is gonna get. he may get 81, he may get a single digit, he may get a teen number, who really knows.

Arik is also an EE so he’ll have his pick.
I personally hope he stays with #2 like he did in HS and looks like a total dog in a LSU uniform.

Although 21 was Stovall’s number, it was also Dalton Hillard’s

Yeah and Ed Paris wore it more recently.
Karnell Hatcher of friendly fire fame wore 37 a few years ago.
How recently were 21 and 37 “retired”?

I thought the Jersey was just retired not the number. I know 20 is retired and won’t be worn again

We didn't have a number 40 last year I wonder if that was a coincidence or if it has something to do with DW
