Kelly is one smart coach, the way he has managed a depleted LSU roster is incredible. Mulkey showed what she could do with less talent than she’s accustomed to. Not sure what to think of Johnson yet, will know more next season. I just know I’m ready for LSU football to start.

Man, this is the pitfall every fan does with every new thing they get, regardless of sport.

They hyperbole the shite out of something before waiting on the actual results. It creates impossible expectations. We have no way of actually knowing how he managed the roster until it steps on the field.

Man, you’re an idiot. Pitiful response to some positive news for LSU fans.

Excited to see how all of the talented Olinemen Kelly brought in stack up. It’s obviously not LSU baseball, boy wonder.

So what happens when LSU football, like baseball, has first year growing pains under Kelly?

We did the same exact thing with Kim Mulkey. That worked out okay for us.

Yeah, instead of getting mad when women's basketball is losing, they just forget that the sport exists.

Baseball and football aren't afforded that luxury.

I have no idea what this means. You said we create unreasonable expectations in every sport. I pointed out we did the same thing with Mulkey and you are now apparently dismissing that as if it didn’t happen? We don’t forget about women’s basketball at all. Everyone knows the program has grossly underperformed potential since Pokey was let go. Mulkey is going to get us back where we should and she is going to do it while having massive expectations. Same as Kelly if you ask me.

Kelly has won 263 games and been successful at every stop.

Name the last LSU football head coach hire who can claim that?

None. Because there aren’t any.

And then after the first loss y’all will be calling for Kelly’s head and saying come on basketball season. It’s the same thing over and over.

I think Kelley is a good coach problem for him is Georgia and Alabama are going to be top 5 teams for a stretch.

Arkansas is improved and Texas A&M is recruiting well. I think BK gets both sides of the line improved if he does that and we get a stud QB we got a shot.

NIL is a wild-card, certainly BK has his work cut out if he does well he deserves all the praise.

Correct.
Is not this hyperbole happening to CJJ? It’s his first year.

He hasn't coached a game yet. How do you know he's managed the roster?

Well in about 1 month after he was hired Brian Kelly and a partial staff recruited high school and portal recruits well enough to have the #6 class in the country. I would say he has done a good job with the roster which ended the 2021 season a complete mess. Brian Kelly also cleaned house and got rid of many Cancer’s from previous staffs.

So give us your prediction for this coming football team?

Being excited about something isn't news though. That's an emotional response.

There are no actual results to determine how the changes are going to work out. Its ok to be excited about changes that YOU perceive as being good, but don't try to pass them off as "news" then get pissy when others don’t share that opinion.

Agreed. Years of Les Miles taught me this. I used to get excited every off season when we were gonna "let-er-rip" or something else changed. Then once the season got here, I was constantly let down.
