been saying for years that the recruiting aspect of its been overblown since we've become more of a brand and now of course the SECN. It's a bullshite argument and they know it

Michigan, Texas, USC, FSU,or Oklahoma would be nice games in SuperDome.

This argument holds as much water as "LSU wears alternate jerseys because recruits love them" all while Alabama gets any player they want while wearing the same jerseys every single game.
Why do I have only one up vote? I'd use a thousand if I could for this one

What are the odds that 1,2 or ALL 3 of the upcoming home/homes vs. UCLA,TX,OK, will be morphed into money grab, neutral site rip offs ?
Even money!

3 or 4-game series would be the best. It's just such a big commitment, so it's hard to do.
Auburn/Clemson from 2010-2012 was absolutely perfect. 2010 at Auburn, 2011 at Clemson, and then 2012 neutral site at the Georgia Dome.
Examples:
3-year contract with Oklahoma:
2025 in Baton Rouge
2026 in Norman
2027 in Dallas at Jerry World
3-year contract with Ohio State:
2025 in Baton Rouge
2026 in Columbus
2027 in Nashville at Nissan Stadium
4-year contract with Notre Dame
2025 in South Bend
2026 in Baton Rouge
2027 in Chicago at Soldier Field
2028 in New Orleans at Superdome
*These years and teams are just examples, as I understand we already have a home-and-home in place with Oklahoma.
Personally, I love the idea of the 4-year plan with Notre Dame. Yes, playing the same team 3-4 years in a row might get boring, but I think it would be great exposure for LSU to play a big blue blood program at the beginning of the season, and develop or rekindle a rivalry with that program.

The Superdome is 1970s mistake that looks like a UFO. Watching a game inside it is miserable because you are a mile from the field no matter where you sit and the accoustics SUCK! That constant echo from PA announcer is terrible.

I've always thought NOLA needed a kickoff game like the others. Hope LSU gets the chance.
I get the appeal of kickoff games, I also like home and homes. WVU and Washington were some of my favorite games.

I don't know. I'd much rather sit in this scenery to watch a game vs. a parking lot in Houston
Can you imagine staying in BYU country? Getting a drink would be harder than anything

It is a joke that we cannot negotiate a mutually beneficial home and Dome with Tulane.

LSU doesn't need any help recruiting in NOLA.

maybe that will be the season opener alluded to here? no one said it had to be an event on par with LSU-Oregon, etc.

Should have been doing this. With wisconsin getting to play in frickin green bay, we should have played them in the superdome. Even though it is still like a home game when we play in houston or even dallas, I just believe that new orleans is a much better sporting venue than houston or dallas or even atlanta. This should have been happening and idk why our administration hasn't thought about this before now. That would just be a truly awesome venue and an atmosphere that would be unmatched by any opening game in any city. Fact. There's a reason new orleans has hosted as many superbowls as any city, hosted numerous nba all star games, final fours, tournaments, concerts, sugar bowls/bowl games/bcs title games and cfb playoff games, title boxing matches, and numerous other events...it's simply a city that has unmatched energy and culture that is just perfect for bigtime events. People and fans want to visit new orleans to spend money and have a unique and fun experience.

I remember when Verge's main job was to make sure players went to study hall in Coates Hall.

fricking playing BYU in houston is about as shitty as it gets IMO.
We get to play Rice in Houston. Now that's shitty.

Maybe if we'd get some quality non-conference games, fans wouldn't be leaving at halftime.
It aint Rocket Science...........
