WTF does THAT mean? You win a NC and can forever thereafter do no wrong? What constitutes a fanbase "turning on" a coach? I don't see the pitchforks and torches in most of the Ranters, but that doesn't mean the criticism that comes from being in the spotlight of a head coach is on "mute" because he wins a NC. Don't take your anger out on the everyday Ranter

I must be in the minority then......

technically, he's the coach of a top 5 team right now, today- enjoy.

nobody is spitting in his face or talking bad about his momma. we're just not pleased with the product on the field. he is a coach. he's paid to win games and improve players' skills. right now, it's obvious we are squeaking by against lesser opponents and the responsibility for that falls squarely on his shoulders. winning a championship is great and he'll always be remembered for that but you can't stop trying to win after that and expect everyone to be happy about it. we want to see our team push people around. when see that again, his approval ratings will rise.

well let's go back to 2 years ago. no matter what, everybody hailed his recruiting and assistant coach selection
now even those 2 areas are coming under fire
Thing about this year, there are 3 other teams that have separated themselves from the pack.
Everyone was predicting a 9-3 season due to a young QB and more than likely stagnant offense because of this.
Every other team in the country outside of Alabama, Texas, and Florida have looked like they've had problems. No one here expected LSU to be among the top 3 in the country.
LSU is right where people thought they would be. Among other teams that have obvious weaknesses.

Quick question for you. If LSU were to go say 8-4 this year, and you got your way and LSU fired Miles. Who do you think would want to go to Baton Rouge and coach? Two years after a MNC and an SEC championship. After a string of going 4-0 in bowl games. Do you think any decent coach in their right minds would put themselves in the position of having to go 11-1 or 10-2 every year in the SEC just to satisfy a moronic fanbase like ours is becoming? Give me the name of one GOOD coach (not some crap ball) who would do that? I'll answer it for you: no one. Get a clue. This is the point the negatigers just don't get.

Does anyone remember the 'support Curley' bumper stickers that came out prior to the '94 season?
They were all over BR. People who were saying CH wasn't LSU material were getting criticized on talk radio even then after three years of crap football up to that point for not supporting the Tigers.
How many ranters had one on their car/truck?
I also remember people calling for Saban's head after we lost to Ole Miss in 2001.
The drunken fratboys sitting behind me at that game kept calling Rohan a "stupid fking n'r". Endlessly throughout the game.
That was awesome let me tell you. Those guys had their fingers on the pulse of LSU football.
How'd that season work out?
Oh yeah, an arse stomping over some pissant Big10 team in the Sugar Bowl.
Whatever happens the University will still be here and we will still tune in or go the games next year. That is one thing I know for sure.
The rest is all conjecture and entertaining debate.

I liken this to a murder investigation where the family (LSU Fans) are distraught and convinced that they know who the murderer is (Les Miles) and want him executed immediately but the cops are not even close to being finished investigating (play all of the games), haven't charged him (put him on the hot seat) and aren't even close to thinking about a conviction or an execution (fired)
I am of the opinion to wait and see what happens with the entirety of the season before I convict the man and want him executed. Too bad that so many LSU "fans" are ignorant idiots that want their TV dinners NOW so they microwave it because they can't wait 40mins for it to bake in the oven even when they know it is so much better out of the oven. Those ignorant idiots deserve their mashed potatoes with ice in the middle and their brownie hard and dried out.

We need to support our damn coaching staff. I'm amazed at the number of people who hate Miles. Do you want LSU to lose? Because if LSU wins, Miles isn't going anywhere.

your an idiot...coaches will go anywhere for enough money.

Any one that compares Curley Hallman to Les Miles is so absolutely clueless that they need to go play in the street during rush hour.

I support Les 100%. Im sure he's pissed about the sloppy play as well. We're still 4-0, we ranked 4th in the country (by default but nontheless). Im hoping we gel just in time for the meat of our schedule.

recruiting has been great overall. As for the assistants, i was never a huge crowton fan, but maybe the problems are coming from the top and not with the assistants?

Your posts stand out as dumber than the norm on here. I don't know whether to feel sorry for you or be pissed.
