Hopefully the kid Sanders who lead the sec last year in rushing doesn’t come back this week

Is he supposed to? I know he was out this week with a knee I think.

We have a massive advantage with our DL vs. their OL

Their OL had trouble all night containing a very undersized BYU front. So many holds too let alone QB pressures.

I bet Ark vs byu ark is trash! Both tackles were injured during the game. If it’s a night game LSU will SMASH pig. Do you know why Louisiana hasn’t fallen in to the Gulf of Mexico? Because Arkansas sucks!

Agree. But we usually play them late in the season after a physical match up with Bama. I like that we get them early

Yep always physical and we play when it’s too damn cold up there

I need to go back and rewatch the BYU game because the score doesnt tell the full story there.

They held the TOP advantage, had more yards and it took a late TD by BYU to win the game but looking at the box score I would have thought Ark won by 14.

Absolutely.
Arky has had the luxury of playing LSU right after Bama seems like forever.

When was the last time we had a “physical” matchup with Bama? 2017? They are one of the softest teams on our schedule. More of a chuck and duck team.

LSU-16 Love it. Gonna be a blood bath for Ark next sat

Yep, pretty much a consensus on betting sites. Fanduel has LSU at -17.

KJ Jefferson scares me, other than that, not too worried.

Rocket Sanders didn’t play while nursing an injury. Arkansas probably thought they could win without him so he can be healthy for LSU. He can make Arkansas a different team.

Bama will be as its home game, unless they totally fall apart..they will run heavy/have bigger OL amd more consistent come NOV and they always play LSU tough...

I would have thought this line would have been closer to -7 to -10

Yeah, from what I saw BYU spent a lot of time in Arkanshit's backfield tonight.

They had two guys on the OL out by the second half. One was out for the game I think and they said the other went down during the game. It will be interesting to see what their status is for this week. If the OL that finished the BYU game rolls into BR, Arkansas is going to struggle.

Whether those two guys are back or not, most Arkansas fans on the SEC Rant are saying their line has struggled (relative to the competition) in all three games.

Arkansas was up 10 and driving (I think this was late 3rd/early 4th). They missed a 4th and short conversion instead of taking the points with the kick. They ran 4th and short out of the shotgun and didn’t use Jefferson, who is 6-5 250. Sound familiar? Their SEC Rant game thread looked a lot like tRant there.

Then Jefferson did what he does. He had some amazing athletic plays…and two turnovers, one of which was a terrible pick that was 100% on him. He threw another pass that was should have been picked that the CB totally choked on. The turnovers handed BYU the game.

It'll be closer than 16. I'm thinking 34-24 LSU

Very good take on the game. Jefferson looked very out of shape to me. He was sucking air many times during the game. Looks like he has picked up a few pounds and just isn’t in good physical condition. Chase him around a bit and they are going to be in trouble.

Right now, I would take Arkansas + 16.

Arkansas always play up to LSU. Plus, Arkansas needs to refocus after losing to BYU.

LSU might be overconfident after big win on the road.

LSU beats Arkansas 30-21

Said no one who has ever watched a Nick Saban coached team.

Just because an offense’s passing game has evolved to incorporate more short passes as a run-game substitute doesn’t mean the team lacks aggression, doesn’t hit in blocking and tackling.

One element was Arkansas gave BYU excellent field position all night thanks to turnovers and at least 2 horrible punts.
