Maybe this will make people understand that losing a game is not a huge deal in college basketball.

At least split the next two, then the next 7 or 8 games are much easier.

True. But it always sucks to lose a winnable game at home, esp with the SEC bring so strong this season.

It does, but even Baylor lost to a similar type of opponent and has an identical record. I really think we win that game with Pinson. We need to let him heal, though.

Like losing a midweek game in baseball. In the grand scheme of things it's not a huge deal, but in the moment sucks because you know it's a game you should win

Sucks to lose ones you should win... especially at home.

But a lot of teams in LSU's range (Good, not quite great) lose a game or two like this.

Just can't make this a habit.

Yep. No excuse for it. Should have won that one, even without Pinson. But the handful of people making it an indictment on this team or on Wade are out of their minds.

These media clowns still vote their hearts. How in the world can a 4 loss Villanova from a weak conference and a 3 loss Kentucky beaten by LSU weekend before last be ranked higher than a 2 loss Tiger team? Media bias. Yes the Arkansas loss was not good, it was ugly missing a key starter, but there’s no justification for these votes. The bright side? They don’t mean a damn thing in January.

I remember before the SEC schedule started, folks were looking at the first stretch of SEC games and saying we would be lucky to come out of that stretch with 2 wins. We are currently 3-2. If we can get to 4 or 5 in that stretch, we will be sitting very nice.

You dont follow rankings very much do you...

Did you see either of these teams play this week? UK destroyed every one they played since they lost to LSU.
Vill has lost to #2, #6, and #2 in their four losses and has since won 6 in a row...
#1 Gonzaga has 2 losses like LSU...

Auburn should be #1 for the first time in school history, but 1 voter cost them that chance. just goes to show you that college basketball polls are fricking useless. nice to be in the mix, but utterly stupid.

LSU's elite defense makes them an elite team but they don't have even a top 100 (KenPom) offense. That means they will always be more vulnerable than we would like, playing many lower scoring games where one in-game drought like late Saturday can prove deadly.

True but when it’s a game without your starting PG that you look to have in the bag and have to go on the road this week to two tough opponents followed the following week by two solid unranked teams. They need to go 2-2.

Nova has played a way tougher schedule than LSU and has won 6 straight. Nova has better wins, Nova has 4 ranked wins.

It hurts because we had room to drop a game or two, but we need that margin of error for games like Bama and Kentucky on the road.

A. Silly voters polls don't matter. It's the NET ranking at the end of the year and the NCAA Selection Committee's seeding that matters.

B. Of course losing a game isn't a big deal in basketball. It's the WAY that we lost it that's so infuriating. We were up by 8 with 9 minutes left, and then gave up a 17-2 run, with 6 turnovers, at home, to a bad team without its coach.

That's what has us upset. Losses happen, but this was a really bad one.
