They normally give reasons, like the likelihood of getting a job after a degree.
Louisiana’s job market hasn’t been great but recent news indicates that could be shifting.
US News also puts an emphasis on diversity, difficulty getting in, etc.
A lot of it isn’t strictly how good the school is.

The academic institution only exists for raising capital via tuition to fund the sports programs

Those rankings are nothing but a list of how many transgenders you have. It’s good that LSU dropped on the list. Fewer trannies.

These ranking have never seemed to be a big focus. Me? I would be putting my effort into understanding what it takes to break the Top 100 then Top 50.
