Why the frick would I point out predictions of O's failure in this thread?
Because I originally responded to another poster who said this
quote:
All the Ed O haters in this thread have turned into clairvoyants and are now predicting future failure for Ed because this season's results just don't fit their narrative and they've had to re-spin their hatred towards him.
I said there were no predictions in this thread of failure for O and you said my comment was bullshite. So either answer the question or stay out of the discussion and quit changing the subject

The fanbase has been more united in the last few weeks than it has been in a while, yet a handful of usual suspects continue to post profane tantrums if anyone expresses any questions about the coaching staff. That reeks of insecurity, not honesty
You apparently don't know what insecurity is. People couldn't help themselves their hatred of O came out in this thread. People pointing that out isn't an insecurity. Anyway have a great day.

I'm not sure if that was a violation or if he really just felt an attachment to his recruits. It may have been worded that if you want to follow me to USC don't go to class. I believe that Kiffin was obviously lying about not telling O to make the call. As far as McKnight I'm sure the young man went where he wanted to go. Janzen was a bust and there's no way anyone wanted that at LSU
I was never mad at Zero over Janzen or McKnight. It is a dirty business. No argument there.
Here is my rub.. When you recruit a kid to attend a school on that school's dime and then turn around and tell them not to start class so you can take them to your new school, that is a problem. It is an ethical problem for me.

While he is responsible for the product on the field I think the bigger issue is the administration at FSU. We have heard rumblings for awhile about the problems there. It will get worse before it gets better there.
How is a guy not coaching there responsible for the product on the field? That’s on the current coach. JF was responsible for the product on the field last year. If you want to say he didn’t leave as much talent as expected based on the recruiting rankings that’s fair. But clearly there are other problems there with the admin and admin support

It's just funny watching the O haters still hating on the man. Proof they never were LSU fans and will never be
quote:
Where are the "O haters"?
This is the ultimate irony, first him claiming O “haters” still hating on the man. With the possible exception of the guy talking about O telling kids not to go to class at Tenn and back stabbing Miles no one is hating on O in this thread, Next it is painfully obvious there are certain posters *cough* Ree *cough* that are O fans and not LSU fans. It makes zero sense that someone that was never and LSU fan would hate O let alone go to an LSU board and talk about it

Stupid thread is stupid.
Saban went 7-6 in his first year at Alabama while Les Miles won the national championship. How's that turned out 10 years later? I'm not sure I would have wanted LSU to give Jimbo that insane contract but to pretend he's a complete bust 8 games into his tenure is absurd.
2 of the 3 losses were to #1 and #2 who nobody else has beaten either. Jimbo still looks like the QB whisperer and Mond looks way better than he ever did last year. Beyond that, he's currently got the #2 recruiting class in the country. I'm willing to sit out the immediate judgement and see how he settles into years 2 and 3.

And Florida groomed him for like 15-20 years

That contract was so over the top I can't believe they signed off on it.
But if your any coach around the country it was a good thing

Jimbo will have aTm competing for the West in 3 years. Just go ahead and accept it

Geez you people love to make your over reactive final judgement on things in short irrelevant time spanses.
Fisher may or may not end up a failure at A&M. But his first season will have no real bearing on that. Hell Saban has 6 or 7 losses his first year at bama - how has that hampered him?
Similarly coach O could end up with 4 losses this year pretty easily.
Stop anointed or firing people with your whims of the week and let things play out on a meaningful time frame.

This thread is full of ridiculousness, starring with the OP

A quick search of your post history shows you have multiple threads started last year defending O.
So if O should get the benefit of the doubt in year 2.5, Jimbo might need a little longer than 8 months to right the ship. I’d be careful what you wish for.

quote:the difference is fisher already has proven himself with an undefeated NC, 3 conference titles numerous 1st round qb's drafted that he developed. o had 3 years already & was the one of the worse coaches in sec history, no room for error for o
Certainly didn't stop posters from making the same quick judgement about O. All new coaches need at least 3 years to prove themselves

I wish we still had our great team of recruiting studs, but our dumbasses had to get rid of Coach Miles .
