I think Toviano will also be one of the 'five DBs' when it is all said and done. He has the size & athleticism. Needs to understand the scheme and show he belongs out there.

I think healthy Zy is 1 starting CB
Id expect Toviano & Stamps to compete for that other spot, but one of the Ohio State guys could compete too

Thanks for the colorful and almost up to date depth chart. Good job! Now to my scattershot of comments:
1) If Zy Alexander is ready to play day, that is a huge +. Once he learned to look back for the ball after a few games, I really liked his play
2) Holly won't play this season unless the charge is dropped. His trial wouldn't be until next year and LSU doesn't play charged players
3) DT isn't all SEC but as I've said before, every single team has a position(s) that the fans wish had better talent or have concerns.
4) If you want to be concerned about something, how about Sage Ryan and Major Burns still being secondary starters! YIKES!
5) Jones is not an SEC caliber DE because with his weight gain, he is too slow. I'm not concerned about that DE position because I see his starting this season to be short-lived
6) like some others here, I like Toviano and expect him to be a starter at some position...CB, S...wherever

At the top is WRb, there are 4 in that slot 6' or taller.

Are the numbers next to Josh Williams and Emery's names their jersey numbers or ages?

All I know is when they entered LSU, "I Like Ike" was a popular bumper sticker on cars.

Thanks for posting. Something stuck out to me is that McKinley is 316 lbs. He may be ready to take snaps.

I'd love to see Savion Jones take snaps at DT. I think he's strong enough to whoop a guards arse..he'll get push. I think he's a step slow for DE contain . I think our best defensive ends will be Shand, Swinson, Womack and Reliford.

This is so fricking true.

These guys have been around forever and if you look at the tape from last year, they played worse than the freshman we sent out there. Literally, the two weakest players on the field at any point last season. Penn gives them a run for their money I guess.

It is long passed the time to move on from these two. They may be great guys off the field but I 100% hope we see very, very little of them next season.

Offense
- i expect CJ Daniels to get a lot of playing time, if not starting by game one. He's a strong guy, a guy they should have on the field as a starter IMO.
-Lane is better than people think at RB and will be perfect as an emergency player.
-there is no way in hell our backup RG will be a walk on. No wonder we are trying to load up heavily on the interior OL. Mubenga will have to play both guard spots.
-That entire blocking unit including TE and RB have 3+ years of extreme playing experience. Three of our top 4 WRs are 4+ years with 2 having tons of experience in college. Hell, our offense is very old. No freshman nor sophomores in the starting roles except for Chester.

Overall Assessment
People seeing this, paying attention to the last couple years, and not expecting a top 15 offense are crazy. LSU had a top 25 offense BK's first year here with a bunch of fresh faced kids in starting roles, and a transfer QB starting over in a stronger conference. I expect a top 10 offense. Way too much talent and experience at the right places to not.

Whit should play more than Greg Penn and Womack has to play more than Sai'vion Jones.

You do realize that this is not an "official" depth chart, just a poster's guess at a possible slotting of players. If one or both of the two guards cannot play for any reason, there are multiple options for replacements that are not Mubenga and/or a walk-on.

1. Either Chester or Coen could slide over to G and the other man the center spot.

2. Calloway got work at the G position during the spring. making him an option.

3. Bo Bordelon worked as second string guard during portions of the spring and has cross-trained for all of the C, G, and T positions during his time at LSU.

4. There will be cross-training of players during the August camp for the other freshman OL players who were not on campus for the spring.

5. Tyree Adams has also spent time playing G in practice.

There are many permutations to get the 5 best and healthiest on the field should a G or 2 go down, including moving Jones inside and bring in someone at OT.

I'm impressed how stacked DE is. SDE Jones, Shand & Reliford. And at Jack, Womack & Swinson... Yeah we have to replace IOL next season so we need some dirt movers in there.
