Been watching spring practice clips and some players are in all gold (non-contact jersey). It a good look.

Spring practice

Has LSU ever considered using that uniform combination for a game? Looks good in basketball.

I understand uniform history

As close to that gold as you'll get...

Gold is good and we should wear this classic gold uni for one home SEC and one home non-conf game each year. All other home games in the classic whites.

Burn the purple jerseys. They're unlucky and last year's loss to TROY proved it.

That was the first time we had lost wearing purple since I think 2000 against Florida. Purple jerseys look great

To me it’s depressing to see Leonard in LSU gear.... can’t believe we didn’t win more with him.

That’s to much yellow for me. I would welcome a yellow jersey with white helmets and pants though.

The Seinfeld Bizzaro World "Opposite" uniform.

DiNardo had us wear those awhile back, but they forgot to include the traditional shoulder stripe on the jersey and it ruined the look...........

Has LSU EVER worn an all-gold look?

Yes.

We wore all-gold in the 1944 Orange Bowl against A&M. I think it was one of LSU’s regular looks at the time.

Here’s a link to a page with some images of the game:

That uni looked pretty awesome. I think we can incorporate that again into our alternate uni rotation, with modern helmets, of course.

Just burn the purple shirts. They look good, but they're cursed.

All gold is hideous. Your fan card should be revoked for just suggesting this SWAC nonsense. Not all change is good.

We've done it more than just then. Go look at billy cannon's heisman trophy portrait. Gold uniforms were pretty normal. Just harder to tell from older pics because they're in black and white

That uniform on Fournette above is the most lit uniform of all IMO

I just like sticking to the whites and the purple on occasion.

This whole changing the uni up is just stupid and does nothing. Teams that change unis a lot don't win national titles. Blue blood programs stick with the classic unis more often than not.

I agree with more often than not sticking with the traditional uniforms.

Because we wear white at home, however, we wear the same exact uniform roughly 11/13 games per year, unlike other big boys.

Also, I think adding different looks into a permanent usage rotation here and there is fine as long as it’s school colors as opposed to one-time blackouts, “ice-outs”, chrome/matte fads, etc. (Think Florida all-orange, or Clemson’s variety as opposed to aTm’s chrome on white or UCLA’s midnight getup )

I’d like to see us make a gold jersey, white helmet, and white pants available items in our standard uniform package

Would look pretty similar to Rams. Actually think it would be pretty cool for one game a year.
