This is big as we are not very deep at TE with proven guys. If Mason can ball out, that is a large part of the offense that is available to the QB and coordinators.

With Kelly’s offense, Taylor’s bloodlines, and the early opportunities he’s going to get…this may be the start of something special.

All fans are used to high praise from coaches in the preseason where optimism is at its highest. However, this is probably the most glowing praise we've heard from Kelly regarding an individual player. Kelly certainly has the bona fides when it comes to TE evaluations, and if he is saying Taylor is as good a freshman TE as he's had, that is pretty damn strong. Especially considering his last two teams featured a 5 star freshman All American, turned now preseason All American and projected 1st round pick at TE (Michael Mayer)
If Taylor can give production somewhere close to what Mayer and Bowers gave their teams as freshmen, then that is a HUGE boost to the offense when coupled with LSU's big time WR group.

From his interview about Denbrock:
"We like to control the line of scrimmage, we want physicalness within the offensive structure, we want to use a tight end and three wide receivers and we want to push the ball down the field."
11 personnel, not 12, there you go. He also says he's going to start whichever QB is best at getting the ball in the hands of the playmakers. This is the one I'm most interested in.

For a long time he was married to Zak's (the lb'er) sister. They divorced later. Not sure if us his mom, but she was white
