Big Cat was kind of silly, but we had some physical teams under Les. So he was doing something right.

2nd guy (far end) was Kardell. Looked solid. Not sure who went against.
A lot mention him so thought I’d point it out. Looks healthier.

Kardell's size and strength will ALWAYS make him a good run blocker. Guy just can't pass protect.

ETA: Emory Jones eating that poor walk on alive lol

I agree. It may have looked silly, but I can 100% guarantee you it was a great exercise in team building, more of a reward at the end of practice than a drill. Obviously, it reinforced in spades that football is meant to be physical.

I was going to say that too. He does not look like a freshman. He has a frame that could easily add 30 pounds over the next few years and probably not loose a step. He's going to be a beast.

That’s not technically the big cat drill.

Dellinger looked pretty good up against Roy.

This was impressive. I see why they're trying their best to get him at center.

Big Cat with Les and O was loose and unorganized. IMO - near worthless.

I'm going to disagree here, it's just different. There is something to be said with getting jazzed up for the first day in pads and making a physical competition about it. Both Miles and O had some good physical teams that won championships, its not like they all stunk it up like 20 and 21.

They had Dellinger snap the ball before his 1-on-1.

Looks like he's the guy at Center if he can handle the calls. He was better than Turner who was later in the drill.

I remember watching on of those Big Cat drills and it was all fun until one of the players took his helmet off and started swinging it at the other guy. And then Les was just out there smiling on the side and called up the next players like nothing happened.

This is nothing like the Big Cat drill when you had two men squaring off surrounded by other screaming players. I do like the physical contact.

Looks like the during the one round of the drill they had the starting line out and it was
LT: Campbell
LG: Shorts
C: Dellinger
RG: Frazier
RT: Bradford
