42 - 25 against Clemson
63 - 28 against Oklahoma
37 - 10 against Georgia
46 - 41 against Bama
23 - 20 against Auburn
42 - 28 against Florida
45 - 38 against Texas

298 - 190 against these opponents combined.

On the Chinese calendar, LSU's 2019 season was The Year of the Rented Mule.

On a good NC run you usually might beat 3 top 5 teams

WE BEAT 7
We beat 7 top 5 teams? Does not compute.

(And yes, I realize they probably were ranked top 5 “at the time we played them” which i’ve always argued is a flawed argument. It’s where they end up. )

But I completely agree with your point - we played a killer schedule and rolled through it.

The 2019 Alabama team will fade into history as a team that lost two games, but that team was very good, and beating them at their place in another game of the century type atmosphere with the President there was very hard to do. There were so many great things that happened for LSU the rest of the season, that sometimes I forget how insane that Alabama game was and what a great win it was. Burrow locked up the Heisman that day and it was still a few weeks until Thanksgiving. Crazy.

Sometimes. Sometimes teams are better early in the year.

I believe Texas, Bama, and Auburn had scores very late in the game to make them appear closer than it was...

You know what I meant I was drunk last night. We beat 7 top 10 teams. 5 finished in the top 9. The other two teams finished 14 and 25. No matter what way you look at it no one in the history of college football has a resume that good. NO ONE
