Arkansas went to F4 twice when they joined the SEC. The other 4 was in the SWC?

The one who made the NCAAT 3 times but didn’t even get to coach the team in 2 of them
Ladies and gentlemen! Come one. Come all! Behold the definition of a “Red Herring” fallacy!

This is like Nebraska football posting historical stats.
LSU has won 4 SEC basketball championships since the last time Nebraska won a conference championship in football.

SEC championships
Kentucky 50
LSU 12
Tennessee 11
Alabama 10
Florida 5
This is wrong LSU has 11 regular season championships, I assume you are counting the on tournament championship they have. But you are not counting the other teams tournament championships. You also have the numbers wrong for several schools. Where did you get your data?
SEC regular season championships
Kentucky - 50
Alabama - 11
Tennessee - 11
LSU - 11
Florida - 7
If you want to combine SEC Regular season and tournament it looks like this.
Kentucky - 82
Alabama - 19
Tennessee - 16
LSU - 12
Florida - 12
Historically not a doormat, in large part due to Dale Brown and Harry Rabenhorst WHo account for 7 of the 11 regular season championships and the only tournament championship. Brady has two, Trent Johnson has one and Will Wade has one.
But also historically feast and famine. Between first place #1 and #2 there were 19 years (remarkably the same coach), between first place #3 and #4 26 years. During the 26 seasons between 1954 and 1979 LSU finished higher than 3rd in the SEC 1 (2nd) time and went to their only post-season appearance (NIT). If I counted right they only had 7 winning seasons, (4 winning SEC records) in that timespan.
Not a doormat in the SEC. But the SEC was dominated by one team, Kentucky.

It’s like the opposite of winning The College World Series 7 times

Cannot wait for LSU hoops being relevant again...

OK, we feel a whole lot better since LSU has historical success.

I dont get why people do not want to spend money on LSU basketball. Due to TV contracts basketball can bring in more money than baseball if they both have decent seasons.

Fair point OP, but “SEC Champions” for most of time is TRNY Champs- LSU has one…uno
As someone else said, this is incorrect. The official conference champ for the last 70+ years has been the SEC regular season champion.
