I think we need to go with Fountain over Reed and Dean over Baker.

Reed earns second-team with his inconsistency. Let him play his way back to start. And Dean has shown that he can play a physical role that Baker is mostly unable to play.

Then I’d play Ward and also round the starting lineup out with the Cook and Wright. Ward is a little inconsistent as well, and he struggles defensively (which isn’t at all what we need), but he does give you length on the perimeter and an ability to hit some 3s.

I hope Collins can come back soon. Does anyone know when he’s expected to return?

Lamar... can play basketball.

They have a good shot to win the Southland this year, seen them play several times.

I think I saw them play SMU, but one game isn’t really an indicator of how good a team was. They shot well, but got out rebounded pretty heavily.
Do you think they are as good as Mcneese this year?

I believe McMahon said he is practicing but not cleared by medical to play yet.

Hell no! Not to compare scores/common opponents but USM beat Lamar. McNeese beat USM by 20.

I think the starting lineup will be:

Cook
Mwani
Wright
Reed
Baker

I wouldn't mind Fountain starting over Reed, but he supplies energy off the bench and is a team guy.

Mwani supplies extra defense which is important to start the game with. Ward can still play decent minutes behind him.

Baker has been down but can still be a nightmare for opposing teams if he gets the right matchup. Just gotta be ready to give him a quick hook.

I am looking for the energy level to be up and to see who is working best with Cook.

I think so, but I wouldn’t put my money on it.

I still want CMM to succeed and will wait another year. But if we get to the end of year 3 and we don't see substantial improvement, then Woody needs to think seriously about making a move.

This can be true while still supporting the team and showing up at games. They're not mutually exclusive.

How depressing that you have nothing more entertaining in your life. Does your son have freedom to object? Borderline child abuse?

Well, he is 25 and chose to go. On break from grad school at Illinois and wanted to see some real basketball.
