With pear we had hope- a golden orchard. Now we have a landfill. We have no hope, no future with McMahon. This much is clear with sample size, regardless of how much NIL money you throw at him. The most fun years of college basketball I ever had were with will wade… he got me to be a season ticket holder for the first time. Now I watch the kingdom he created crumble further every year into disarray under Scott Woodward’s indifference to the program.

You would think he'd have a happier face when you realize Jim is under the table.

I’m so old that I remember when year 1 was an actual year 1 and tTigers went 8-10. After inheriting a 2-16 team.

Now we need McMillions to win more than 3 league games evidently. Sad.

Nah, he's just being realistic. The "why complain or fight" type - just be real.

He's the dude that would go to prison and immediately bend over and drop trow. Might as well be realistic and not complain.

I’m none of those and would never call him dumb. A pussy maybe, but not dumb.

Don't forget the favorite word of the McMA clique......Miserable.

I'd love to get this Tiger Stadium Atmospheric Destroyer the Frick out of LSU and hire Saban as AD!

Has anyone in the media reviewed the actual facts of McMahon's tenure and questioned why hes coming back for year 4?

I heard Hanny get close, but even he didnt outright say it's time to move on.

I think most in the media know it's a lost cause. LSU did the exact same thing with Trent and JJ. For reasons I can't understand, our AD never has, and never will give a shite about MBB. But they'll make Kim Mulkey the highest paid coach in the country in a non-revenue producing sport. Sorry, but I don't give a shite about WBB. It just defies logic and reasoning, which drives me up the wall.

there is no media coverage of LSU basketball. Occasionally, one of the radio shows will do a quick segment on it, but no one is on the basketball beat following up every day asking questions to coaches, players or administrators.......no one. the Advocate has a guy who does game stories and asks game questions at the few pressers there are....that's about it.

Hanny went on a rant once but he's not making calls and asking questions. Similarly, Mascona's big reveal was provided based info from others, likely done as a favor to a friend IMHO because he could absolutely care less about hoops and would seemingly to me rather endure a cold water enema than talk about.

Baton Rouge sports media is terrible. Rarely correct about anything and painfully loyal to the company line rather than using their platform to push accountability.

Years ago there were multiple beat writers on the basketball beat. And what that entailed was stories every day on the basketball team, not just game stories from pressers but features and in depth essays. the writer would spend most of his day at the basketball facilities or in the athletic offices, going to practices, calling coaches daily - truly covering basketball.

Now investigative pieces or scandalous stuff the Advocate would put actual reporters on it and not the beat writer - which IMHO was always pretty weak but that's what they always did. But at least they and other papers used to have full time beat writers covering hoops and some of them would ask questions that now adays are going almost completely unasked.
