Literally no one who follows college basketball for a living thought this. Everyone was complementary of the job McMahon did in putting together a roster. Kansas St and Missouri had LESS returning players than LSU. Yet, they will be playing in the NCAAT while McMahon just tied the school record for the worst conference record in history.
Truly a horrible coaching job this season despite what the excuse makers (who are dwindling) continue to say.
He’ll get at least one more season, but i challenge anyone to provide a reason for optimism outside of baseless blind hope. The reality is no one can, and the ones who do, do so for the SOLE purpose of being a contrarian…not because they actually have a reasonable position

It can’t be fixed as is. We just have to ride it out and suffer until we can afford to fire him. Thing is Piglet isn’t going to spend a dime more than he absolutely has to on basketball so don’t be surprised if coach Mac is kept a year or two longer than any sane program would keep him.

They’re not LSU fans. LSU fans pull for all our teams. If someone doesn’t follow a sport that’s fine but why the need to jump into basketball threads and shite on the basketball team? These people aren’t LSU fans, they follow two sports because of some vicarious affirmation it brings to them. You’ll also notice most fans like this are extremely ignorant about the sports they do follow.

I think drizz is more complaining about the current state of the basketball program as a whole, which is certainly understandable. I don't watch many basketball games but I do try to watch some. I'm more of a football and baseball fan but I pull for all LSU programs. Even I can see the current state of the basketball program is not good. At all.

LSU basketball is fricked as long as Woody is AD. Probably best just to ignore it and pay attention to the other sports.

That theory is total horseshite. The NCAA has been completely neutered with the emergence of NIL. Woodward either didn’t seemed to have the insight to recognize this or he just hated Wade because he was an Alleva hire. Woodward gets an F- on his handling of the basketball program.
