you seem to think that's the bible for determining quality opponents right now ?

It sounds like we play a lot of dangerous teams that can beat us but will not necessarily appear to be a great win if we come out on top.

It's more important to have Top 50 and Top 100 RPI wins at the end of the season. Yes, maybe UNC Greensburg or St. Mary's isn't in the AP poll rankings to make it seem sexy, however, that's not what matters to the selection committee. It's RPI & SOS, and our OOC schedule will be just fine when you add it to the stacked conference schedule that we have. The entire SEC upping their scheduling will help all the teams in the league at the end of the year.

Ugh, FSU and Villanova are pretty damn sexy. Your OP doesn't take them into account.

The schedule that I looked at on espn did not include that tournament, so I overlooked it.

I understand the arguement of wanting a sexier schedule, but it's not in the best interest of the basketball program....

Until we prove to be a better program we aren't getting home and homes with the duke's, vilanova's, kansas', etc... you are playing a top 10 team on the road only. No thanks.

LSU will hopefully pile up some wins and play some teams that will stretch them. They will learn, grow together, and build a resume that will not be complete till conference play; but that's okay.

I'm a season ticket holder and I'm 100% okay with the home schedule. opponents don't have to be sexy to have an enjoyable game. College basketball is for the most part very competitive. Much moreso than college football. No game is an auto win for most programs.

Why are we not playing the SEC/Big 12 challenge?

i thought the 4 worst teams don't play.
We were 5th to last, and the bottom 4 teams are all playing in it this year.

People just don't understand. So if LSU schedules, UNC, Kansas, Nova, Syracuse non conference and lose all 4, they're happy? No, they would be bitching. We have the PERFECT schedule to bring along a young young team and get them ready for SEC play, which will then get us ready for the NCAAT. This is a perfect schedule

A birdie told me we beat Texas by 5 and that was on the road. I'm not sure about the one at home

unfortunately each team plays a home and away then they rotate so if you dont play in the challenge you dont play two years in a row.

You seem like the type of poster who doesn’t start following LSU basketball until November

Doesn't matter if anyone is happy or bitching.

Playing UNC, Kansas, Nova, and Syracuse and losing all 4 is better than beating 4 teams ranked over 150 in the RPI.
Ask South Carolina why they missed the tourney over Vandy a few years ago even though they had a much better overall and SEC record than them. No one cares if you go 25-5 if you played cupcakes all year. Going 20-10, and losing to 5 top 30 rpi teams OOC is better than the 25-5 and not playing any top 30 rpi teams OOC.

I get what you are saying,

but when you win all your games it doesn't matter who you play.

Also we have a chance to play villanova in the OOC so IDK what that means to you bub
