Odds of success are long against anyone in the loser's bracket. Doubt they beat Vandy or TCU without lange.

Yeah
Beat TCU and you get to face Vandy's two top arms well rested
Do that and you get another 3 game series after that
If LSU would somehow pull this off it would be the greatest feat in LSU sports history.

Lange isn't going again until the Championship series......

And we'd probably still be 1-1

So, we can beat TCU tomorrow but we wouldn't have beat them with Lange starting?

LSU could easily be undefeated as well as being 1-1. Team was deflated by the events of pitcher getting tagged and throwing the ball into the stands instead of 1st base....TWICE

Agreed without Lange it's almost impossible. Vandy/Tcu would have to have a crazy break down.Thwy just have better pitching than we do.

Have faith. Look at it this way: Everyone left is either one loss away from going home- or a loss away from being a loss away from going home.

No I'm saying Poche wouldn't have beaten Vandy. And there is still no guarantee we would have beaten TCU with Lange out there. We scored one run off Morrison who wouldn't have come out had the game been close late.

PM will not bring back Lange until Tues at earliest
He's not going to jeopardize any future MLB career in Omaha no matter what the stakes are, possibly Monday but let's worry about the first 3 game set first

If Vandy throws Fulmer on Saturday, don't you have to bring Lange back?

Thurs: Bain/wholestaff
Fri: Poche
Sat: Lange

Then hope to force a game 3 in the finals to get Lange back.

. Absolutely Not, zero chance Lange goes on three days after that performance.

We got Dunn.

I should know this, where is Godfrey?

Its highly unlikely Lange pitches again this year unless LSU makes to the championship series.

Vandy is in the driver's seat. Its up to the LSU bats to knock them out

The good thing is Vandy is cold from the plate in this CWS. The bad thing is that was against arguably TCU and CSF's top pitchers. Tigers need a big dose of offense and some baseball luck to beat TCU and then anything can happen against Vanderbilt. Fulmer surrendered some runs against AtM in the SEC tournament so it's not like he is unhittable.

Your whole post basically says we shouldn't even have come to Omaha because we never had a chance.

Poche isn't incapable of beating Vandy.
In hindsight it was clearly a mistake to throw Poche first.

Absolutely. Going forward, IMHO, LSU lives or dies on the strength of their offense.
