LSU baseball schedule in hindsight

Won 6 SEC series and loss 4 series. All 4 teams LSU lost series to are in the CWS. At the time losses to Auburn and Ole Miss seemed really bad, but in hindsight these teams were stronger than they originally appeared. Remember Johnson commenting that Ole Miss was the best time LSU had played and everyone on here laughed. Auburn beating Oregon State in the Super in Oregon is no small task. Oregon State had an outstanding team this year.

Same number of overall regular season losses. Ole Miss had 3 more SEC losses.
And the couple weeks in the post season bumps them above us.

They have a decent shot at winning the whole thing and we didn’t get out of a regional

Well id prefer the end of their season too, doesnt mean they were better than us during the regular season
They probably shouldnt have even made the tourney, and they are going to omaha. The best team in college baseball the whole season is going home, just how fickle this sport is

But Ole Miss is in Omaha, and LSU is now in pre football season.
Let the sting create path back to the top that is evidently 4 spots up from where LSU is today.

Correct. I’m going to stick with my prediction they win it all after watching them in the Miami Regional. That staff has great arms and they had guys out 3/4 of the season.
Ole Miss, ND or Arky will win CWS. I still thinks it’s Ole Miss to lose. Can’t count A&M out either

It does show that when those series losses happen it wasn’t as bad as we thought.
It was still bad to lose them but outside of the Arkansas series we expected to win the series easily. The A&M series was early and we thought their hot start was a fluke. The Auburn series was at home and if I recall we blew the first game. The Ole Miss series they were struggling and it was right when they got hot.
