LSU opens up strong with a sweep of Notre Dame in the opening weekend before dropping 5 straight, including midweek losses to UNO and Grambling. We turn it around with 6 straight wins before dropping 3 out of 4 to Hawaii and South Alabama, an unbelievable 3rd midweek loss. At this point the rant is enraged, demanding Mainieri’s head. We inevitablely turn it around, finishing 20-10 in conference play with another SEC tourney victory and record breaking 6th-straight national seed, keeping Mainieri off the hot seat until next February

Pass some of that over here. That would be an emotional roller coaster

You must not follow the LSU baseball team that much, do you?

The last time they lost 5 games in a row was in 2010.

Yeah, that ain't happening. Tigers will dominate midweek games this season. Bookmark it, or don't.

I see a few sophmore slumps and lack of quality arms cause the hosting streak to be broken. That said PM will finish top half of league and make regional as 2 seed.

He will not be on any hot seat, not even a warm seat, unless LSU totally misses post season play. Thats not going to happen, and even if it does his job is not in jeopardy next season.

Regional host, no national seed is what we should hope for this season. With potential to be a bit better if Hess as a starter combined with a few freshman arms work out.

(Que the, we need Hess as the closer crowd in 3..2..1)

Was LSU supposed to make the CWS last season? Nope. That was a shockingly awesome surprise. Give it time, let's see what these incoming arms can do before roasting them.

It's tad. He probably still thinks stolen bases count toward total bases and that Dawson is still on the team leading in BA.

Pitching will probably be very weak compared to the last few years. Offense and fielding will probably be great per usual.

Regardless of expectations I can't wait for some baseball.

Total melt downs after a midweek loss.

Asking why CPM bunted/didn't bunt in a situation, after the play didn't result in 5 runs.

Asking why CPM stole so-and-so.

Questioning every single pitching move made, if it ends up not working.

Saying CPM over uses pitchers if any of them have an injury.

Bashing the shite out of the Jordan twins.

Basically, 5,000 more threads just like this one.

Its great times.

Thats not really a bold prediction when Lange/Poche are gone.

We could have said the same thing about pitching, outside of those two last season. Nobody saw Walker and Hess turning into what they were. Hopefully a few young arms are ready to contribute this season as well.
