You don’t seriously think Florida and Texas are in the same boat regarding LSU fans/alumni do you?

Going years without playing in the state of Florida is no big deal at all.

Wasn't my point I have gone to Gainsville in the past to watch our Tigers play but we haven't played Florida in Gainsville in a while so I was happy finally I would get to watch LSU again out here. They haven't played any teams in Florida as a matter of fact.

Yeah, it sucks. I haven’t seen LSU lose a game in Texas since we moved here a few years ago. 5-0. Picked the right game to go to last year at Texas and Texas A&M.

The SEC prepares the conference schedule and LSU has no control over it. That’s the best opportunity to schedule a weekend in Texas. I doubt they would ever give up a nonconference home series. So playing a tournament in Texas is the only chance. LSU has played a tournament in Texas most years. Getting the opportunity to play in Jacksonville this year is something different and I’m sure Jay has a reason for it.

We played TEN in the state of Texas last year. We played a 3 game tournament, a mid week and then series at both Texas and A&M. We also played Oklahoma for a 3 game series in Norman, OK.

Dunno why you are being down voted. Lots of alum and tiger fans in DFW and Houston that would love to see us play without having to drive all the way to BR.

The Texas Classic @ Minute Maid was awesome. Hope they get that going again soon.

That Frisco tournament was crap for people that streamed it. D1 baseball burned that bridge

It's always awesome. Not sure why anyone has a problem with it.
