It takes time for the grounds crew to get the field ready before the players can start getting ready. Pitchers have nothing to do with it, they warm up indoors or in the bullpen long before the rest of the team is warming

Full routine sure, I was just talking about what needs to take place on the field itself

The 2/3 seeds would be playing right now because Jay wouldn't be lobbying for a delay. LSU's game would start around the normal time tonight.
