The last thing we need is Skenes' outing to get cut short by something popping up. Get the game in early is the right choice.

There are, but noon makes more sense than the other times.

I’m just not sure why posters in here have taken this so personal, like I called their mother a whore

I haven’t made a huge issue of anything, yet it’s personal attacks galore. Posters are damn protective of lsu baseball decisions on here……. Moving the game up absolutely made sense. But using the current forecast a 4pm or 5pm start gives the same opportunity for Skenes not to be interrupted, and it gives the opportunity most importantly for kids to be out of school and adults to be off work to fill the stadium

If I had to guess there was a concession by both squads, Arky to move it earlier and lsu to play at noon

For those talking personally, this is the one game I received suite tickets from a client. For me, this time change couldn’t have been better. I have to be back in Mandeville Saturday morning for kids practices. This makes that drive back a ton easier

Advantage Arkansas not having to deal with a rowdy Friday night crowd

I doubt Skenes performs differently.

Fans'll be rowdy Saturday.

Moving it to 5 would have given plenty of time with the forecast

You're apparently not using the same forecast as the rest of the world. 5:00 p.m. is the highest chance of rain.

Weatherunderground

The median chance of rain now between the 3 hours of 12 to 3 is 32%

The median chance of rain for the three hours of 5 through 8pm is 33%

I don’t see the material difference for interruption of Skenes start

Games are closer to 2 hours with Skenes pitching.

Yeah, my forecast shows rain at 3pm and 5pm. So i think lsu made the right decision

Just checked the wunderground app, 30-40% from 1-4 and 30-40% from 6 through the night. Starting at noon gives them the best chance and most amount of time to finish this game tomorrow

Yeh that’s kinda my point, the chance of Skenes being interrupted is the same

No. If he gets an hour and a half of baseball, that’s 6-7 innings and a full start for him.

But more importantly, better chance to get the game in. If it gets delayed, it gives us a better shot of playing 3 games this weekend. Sunday could wash

Jay Johnson: “It’s tough moving games here— don’t want to make too early of a decision for the rest of the weekend. I hope people still come anyway because it’s a Top 5 matchup.”

Said he’s rather move a game up than try to play and have to stop— that makes things more complicated. #LSU

Even if he gets interrupted after 4 innings, dem’s the breaks. We would just lose 6 outs from him
