Why are they moving this? AccuWeather shows 25% chance of rain. Sunday looks to be the bad day.

Because if it becomes necessary to play 2 on Saturday the teams will have a few more hours of rest

Serious question, how many days going forward will there be a Friday forecast of 40% chance of scattered storms?

I would venture to say that’s fairly common for our spring weather pattern.

Big win for Arky there

Yea because Skenes is so much less effective at noon than he is at 7

Moving it to 5pm or if need be 4pm would have made so much more sense. At this rate they should have put it at 10am

Why wait til noon?

You're not being serious about playing the game at 10 AM so I'll ignore that. Starting at 4 or 5 still leaves doubt with the weather. Scattered storms are possible in the forecast from around 3-4 PM Friday through 6 AM Saturday. Starting at noon all but guarantees they finish game 1 before weather becomes even a remote issue.

It's not so much if rain is going to possibly occur on any given day but when during the day relative to the times games are scheduled to be played.

Arky is facing skenes either way. I’m fairly certain they would rather it with an worry box

If I had to guess it was negotiations. We wanted to move the game earlier to get skenes a solid chance of full game, and arkys play was then “ok if we move it it’s to noon”

The possibility now is no longer higher at 7 then it is at noon

It’s now scattered throughout the afternoon and night. It’s no longer a full front line getting to us

Maybe Sunday weather was a factor knowing you will likely have to play two on sat and espn cooperated

I already said espn can throw on a 30/30 special on Fri night and not miss a beat

And u know Jay is thinking ahead with Tenn coming in
The next three series all start on Thurs after ark

Weather.com has a 4% chance of rain at noon with increasingly higher chances of rain throughout the rest of the day/night and into Saturday morning.

Sometimes I think you just like to argue for the sake of arguing. Moving the game up has been discussed all week. Now they're doing the prudent thing and moving the game up, yet you're complaining because maybe that affects attendance for one game.

I have work all Friday afternoon and will be unable to watch it at all but still agree with the move because it's the right move to make.

This is the right decision 50-60% chance of rain Friday night. Must get a full game in Friday to play the DH Saturday, Sunday looks like a total wash.

Remind me to grab my laptop so I can run the game full screen while at work. I hate watching the game on a minimized window.

That's what I've already said. Doing this gives us flexibility to make more moves if necessary to ensure we can play all 3 games.

game is a 3 hour window

Noon to 3 pm is median chance of rain is 24%

Median chance is 5 to 8 is 32%

I’m sorry I think Arky won the negotiating table and there were other good options available

Anybody know what’s scheduled for noon on the SECN? My ESPN+ app decided to be a bitch right before the game Tuesday.
