It’s pretty unreal how many guys from the ‘09 team hated and still hate his guts to this day. They have zero respect for him.

I saw a picture the other day of Ranaudo and LeMahieu standing next to each other.

Either Ranaudo's listed height is complete horseshite or LeMahieu is now 6'11".

Hate to see this.
He always reminded me of one of those big leaguers from the 90's that smoked cigarettes before the game and spit tobacco juice on players feet

That wasn’t Ranaudo. It was Gleyber Torres. (Assuming this is the pic in question)

I’d be shocked if Holman is on his way out. He’s a true pitcher (not a thrower like a lot of minor league arms). I feel like he’s got a lot left in the tank due to his size. He was 92-94 here but it looked effortless.

Yeah. I know a few guys from the 09 team and if the portal was around back then (in the same capacity), PM wouldn't have had near the success he did.

It isn't even about "kids being soft today", he was just a tool. Skip and Auggie were notorious assholes to their players, but they loved and respected them and looked up to them.

The worst story I heard was after the CWS loss to UF in '17. A few guys on the team were trying to blow some steam off in one of their hotel rooms and have a few beers that night. PM came in, kicked everyone out (including grown adult wives of players) and chewed them out. He then didn't speak to a single one of them until they got back to BR. He made each player sign a piece of paper saying if they had any alcohol that night, then banned multiple of them from ever returning to the facilities.

Keep in mind, this is after the season ended. He banned multiple 22+ year olds from ever coming back to Alex Box because they drank a few beers after their baseball careers ended.

He's a world class a-hole.

I don't know what picture you're talking about, but here is Ranaudo (6'7") standing next to Austin Ross (6'2")

Ranaudo looks 6'7" to me

LINK

Doing a google image search, I think I might know what picture you're talking about with DJ, and the other guy in the picture isn't Ranaudo

Remember when he got upset about a coach leaving and decided he was never hiring someone he didn't coach ever again regardless of how little experience they had?
He tried to hire a former player who played under Skip and that player told him absolutely not lol.

Big leaguer too.

I bet Jay would have gotten one of the many high round draft picks to actually make it to campus. It helps if the coach knows who you are before you put on your practice jersey.

Like could you imagine a kid sitting in Jay's office, taking a phone call, and never returning? Christian Cairo doesn't do that to Jay Johnson.

My favorite thing about Jay is how he’s an offensive coach

I know you have to have good pitching too but even during the down years, the offense is typically solid

Berry is on the brink of making it.

I always thought Cabrera would make it to the big's quickly, after he was drafted.

Blake Money is on the full season injured list. He was set to pitch in AA for the Orioles org this year. Had been having success as a starter.
