I mean you don't even have to travel every year, just every other one.

exactly. imagine a home series with UNC or UCLA at the box. The place would be crazy !

I'm more pissed about playing UNO/Grambling on a weekend than I am about the location (putting aside the fact that it's closer to me). If they wanted to have a grand opening of their stadium with LSU coming down, they could have easily sold out their 800 tickets on the first Tuesday.
100%.
We should have traveled to UNO for the first midweek game of the year.
Playing any SWAC school, and most in state schools on the weekend is not good.

Anyone know when tickets start to ship?

Knowing LSU, probably Feb 12

LSU's 18 early entries to the NFL draft for 2013-14 are 10 more than any other school has ever had in a 2-year span.
NFL draft early entries last 2 years:
LSU 18
Big 12 11
Big Ten 10

I wouldn't consider Blue on that list as they did. The 11 last year was just an outlier. 6 this year is the most but second most is 5 so I see no pattern.

I certainly see a pattern.

No clue. Besides us, I know Tulane starts Friday also, so I figured that was the date.

So two years of having the most leaving, one of which being a statistical outlier is an established pattern? Sample size is too small.
Edit: For the sake of not continuing a moot point which has been beaten to death. It is what it is. Hopefully the production we lost can be somewhat replaced.

Outlier or not, people actually think it's a good thing.

I see the perceived positives for recruiting and perceived negatives for the program.

I don't think there is a certain start date for practice but you can only have a set number of practices before the season starts.
