you gotta any data backing up this claim?

No, but I bet the Pittsburgh Pirates wish they had a better arm in left field when Sid Bream was rounding 3rd base.

RF needed to make throws to home too. IMO RF making throws to 3B plus home > LF making throws to home.

Very valid point. The correct decision would have to be made by looking at throws to third PLUS throws home from right field.

Just by casually observing though, I think there may be more base hits/sac flies to left with runners on 2nd than base hits/sac flies to right.

i understand where you are coming from. But i'd need to see some hard data (i realize that is an impossible request) before changing my mind.

The difference is that a fly to left with a guy on 2nd doesn't require a throw.

I guess picking a score for every game is a real pain in the arse

Yeah I thought that was overkill on their part. Margin of victory would have been more than enough.

That's impossible to predict with baseball much less college baseball.

Yeah, bragging rights if anyone actually get the score right though. Over that many games, the spread of points is going to be huge.

what's the tailgating situation at zephyr stadium? I remember seeing folks in motor homes tailgating. But, i don't remember smaller groups without rv's tailgating.

There are people that back up to the grassy areas and throw up a tent and a few tables. Plenty of space to tailgate.

Apparently the game was moved due to ticket demand. I dunno whether their stadium is/will be ready or not, but that is the reasoning they announced for the move.

especially now that they had to move the game to zephyr. might as well have moved it back to the box.

I'm more pissed about playing UNO/Grambling on a weekend than I am about the location (putting aside the fact that it's closer to me). If they wanted to have a grand opening of their stadium with LSU coming down, they could have easily sold out their 800 tickets on the first Tuesday.

I'm really hoping that with us going to Houston next season, it will signal a willingness for us to travel a little more often and set up some good home and homes.
