LSU Bar in Tuscaloosa: Jupiter Bar & Grill

The Jupiter Bar is right across the street from the Houndstooth bar and right next to Waffle House on the Strip. I'm bar tending that night, and as a fellow Tiger fan that has to deal with these Bama fans every day, it would be great to see fellow Tigers that day/night! We open at 8am indoors and outdoors. I'll be wearing my Tiger hat which should be easy to spot..Come see me! Geaux Tygahs.

*slowly pushes tip jar towards you* You tell me.... Hahah but really... Our owner is good friends with the Fred's owner in Baton Rouge. So, this Saturday, they've told me it will be 10-1 LSU to Alabama fans... Can't wait.

Jupiter always sucks, but it might not be as bad if it's all LSU fans. Bear Trap Rooftop and Gallette's are the best bars on the strip, for those going.
Also, when you're drunk, buy the Messy Fries from the greasy spoon by Houndstooth. Thank me later.

In 2011, LSU took over Jupiter im pretty sure. Like a joint thing between Bogies and Fred's. I heard people were breaking tables and chairs and kicking through walls after we kicked the FT in OT to win. I was at the game but my friends who were there had the time of their lives.

Yeah, I heard the place got trashed too. Downtown Tuscaloosa has really improved in the past couple years, for those who don't mind a short, drunken hike. Cops are pretty cool about everything, usually.

It was called the Dixie in 11, and it was closed by the time I got there from the stadium. I was told by staff the lsu folk got out of hand when lsu hit the fg.

Actually, I forgot about that.
Gallette's ALWAYS has cover, especially on a big game Saturday. If you want to avoid the big cover, it's a good idea to get there in the morning and just not leave. They always have food, and the place is packed with fine women. Yellowhammers are more delicious than the tears of Jesus, too.

I went to that bar in 09 and 11. I don't remember anything getting out of hand in 09, but will testify how insane it got in 11. As soon as that field goal went through, the place was done for. One of the most fun moments in my life.
