Is is more likely that this game will be at night? Bringing my boys from Florida to see this one. Wondering which night to get room.

It will more than likely be night we've been wedged into 11am slots at home a few times the last few years. Nothing is definite.
If I had to guess, we'll be the 3 game that week behind Bama/Arky and AM/UT

Why not reserve a room for Friday and Saturday night and cancel one of the nights once the game time is announced?

Times get released two Tuesdays before every game.

LSU Auburn game time?
It'll depend on how various SEC teams have performed through September games.
As of now, I think CBS would be deciding between LSU/Auburn & A&M/Tennessee for their 2:30 game that day.
Other options that day are:
Arkansas/Bama
Florida/South Carolina
Georgia/Vandy
Missouri/Kentucky

I sure hope it’s a night game but I don’t think we will know 100% until maybe 2 weeks before?

I think there is a chance… Auburn could be coming into LSU with a very good record

6:30 on one of the ESPN channels. Aubie will be coming in 0-2 in the SEC, after losses to Aggies and Georgia.

I sure hope it's at night as my 81 year old, LSU alum mother is scratching off a bucket list item by bringing her entire family of kids & grandkids (16 in all) from Orlando/Ormond Beach, in hopes that everyone can experience Saturday Night in Death Valley, together.
If Auburn lives down to expectations this year, I would think it would not be moved, but w/Auburn, you can never tell

I think the winner of A&M-Auburn will determine this being the 1, 2, or 3 game. If AU is 0-2 in the SEC I don't see it being the CBS primetime game.

If I had to bet today, I'd say LSU v. Auburn will be a night game.
I think Auburn will surprise people this season. But they play @ A&M and Georgia before LSU. It is likely they lose both. Or at least one to Georgia. I'm not particularly confident in A&M. Plus they play Alabama the week before which will almost assuredly be the 2:30 game. However, I think CBS will want to go to Tennessee the week of the LSU/Auburn game.
The ONLY thing that may change that opinion is the fact is there aren't a lot of intriguing home SEC matchups for LSU this season (on paper...in August). Thus, CBS may see the Auburn game as their best and only shot to broadcast from Tiger Stadium in their final year with the SEC. Given that the FSU game is on ABC, the Alabama game is on the road, and the Iron Bowl will shift LSU v. A&M to another slot, the game against Auburn might be the only one "big" enough for a 2:30 broadcast.

The idea of playing Auburn during the day makes me want to vomit.

At least it would be a mid-October game with a CHANCE (maybe slight) of pleasant weather. A September day game on the other hand is almost a guaranteed miserable setting, weather wise, with the two options being: (1) sunny and 1000F, or (2) 82F in a monsoon

The Pac-12 has poached LSU and Auburn from the SEC. The game will be at 10 pm Central and will be streaming on Apple if you can't make it.
