Wow... The guy tells it like he sees it, instead of some PC statement prepared by Herb Vincet, and people call him ignorant

You're my boy, Blue!

Since when do gays oppose "traditional relationships"? haha
Just because you dont do something personally, doesn't mean you technically support or oppose it. That's the problem a lot of homophobes have. They feel like they have to be all anti-gay because if not, they might be a little gay themselves.

And sorry dude but bashing a group of people for the way they were born is ignorant no matter how you look at it.

if you're of the belief that being gay is a lifestyle choice, then there may not be anything I can say that would help you to see the ignorance in that belief

I don't know any gay people that oppose traditional relationships and by traditional I'm assuming you mean male/female?

I don't think I've called anyone enlightened, myself included.

No one specifically, but you can bet once this story hits the sports media, people will be up in arms and will call for an apology.

Sorry, I don't buy that you were being facetious. You gave a spontaneous response that reflected your true feelings, much like Blue did. That is an inappropriate question that should not be asked. It sets the athlete up for controversy no matter how he answers. Blue's comments were boorish and inappropriate but your behavior is much more problematic. It is this PC garbage that makes the college experience so unpleasant. I frankly don't care what someone does in his or her personal life. It's none of my business just like it is none of your business what Blue thinks of your personal life. If you are too sensitive to accept an answer that doesn't celebrate your tastes, don't ask. If you ask and you don't like the response, don't act like some victim.

I wonder how Blue would feel if a white guy on the team made a similar insulting comment about black guys.

Cuz its the same fricking thing, what a piece of shite

Oh, you can read minds? Impressive...

His other teammates didn't seem to have much trouble not sounding like ignorant idiots.

wut? My behavior? Wishing an LSU player wouldn't spout ignorant bullshite is poor behavior? I think your criticism is wrongly placed, hot shot.

1. I didn't ask the question
2. "My tastes" include tolerance and respect for my fellow man. Sorry if that is too PC for you there, John Wayne.
3. Show me where I act like a victim. I'm using my freedom of speech (this is fun!) to criticize an ignorant and idiotic comment. See how that works?

I'm sure he really cares about your withdrawal of respect.

This is football, don't expect politically correct positions and carefully worded statements from 18-22 yr old men that spend their days focused on physically dominating other high end athletes.

So I am ignorant for believing that a person chooses to be gay and not born gay? I am not a scientist and have not done extensive research. As I mentioned before, I could care less about what gay people do and really don't care that they want to get married. The problem I have is people calling his statement, as well as like minded people's statement's ignorant. Quit acting like his statement is going to change your life. He said it, it probably wasn't the right thing to say, given his platform, but he should not be called ignorant or anything else, just because he opposes the views of 4% of the population, and should not have to feel bad for what he said.

It seems like a lot of people are quick to equate an opinion that differs from theirs as "ignorance"

I would say yes

I am not a scientist but I do have gay friends and unless they are lying to me, not a single one "chooses" to be gay

do you know a gay person? If so, I would encourage you to simply ask them if they choose to be gay.

To imply they choose to be gay you are also saying you choose to be straight. At what point in your life did you choose to be straight?

"I do not support homosexuality" is a different statement than "how can gay sissies play football because they want men"

It's ignorant to "oppose" a group of people for how they were born. No different than sexists or racists.

That opposition is why the gay teen suicide rate is 5 times that of straight teens.
