Tate comes off really well and has made zero mention of your CRT boogeyman.

Yeah I’m sure he would lead with that

Has nothing to do with that. His background is almost 100% in meteorology. He could end up being a great System President, but his experience doesn't seem to fit with this job.

If you don’t like Tate that’s fine, but y’all come off like these people who passionately hate a movie they’ve never seen

You’re trying very hard to make people believe his decades long research and publications related to CRT are an outlier.

No, I just don’t know that they’re relevant to the actual running of a university like many on here assume.

So the guy pushing CRT for a large portion of his career is suddenly going to stop pushing it when he takes over as President of a state university? Sounds reasonable.

They’re central to the vision of leftist administrators across the country.

I refuse to believe you’re this unaware. More likely you’re in agreement with the principles of CRT, but attempt to downplay them because you know that won’t play well.

If you want to assume he’s the devil incarnate based on nothing but research work you don’t like, you go right ahead.

A University President enacts policies and his beliefs will drive the change he wants to see. So I would say it is concerning if you do not agree with a candidates beliefs.

CRT is a pretty pivotal issue. States are banning the idea, so yeah... I would say that is highly relevant in the current climate.

You dont know how someone with a background in CRT, and the benefit of CRT, running a public university where there are talks of implementing CRT as a backdrop in the education system is meaningful?

Seriously?

I’m really not but of course that’s what you want to assume.

DS is a dyed in the wool Dem. So you are on the money with this.

I don't know anything about any of these guys. But if one of them is a long time CRT proponent, next.

Man you are off your rocker in here

Here is your argument:

"I dont think Johns research and theory on the spread offense should really be considered when we are hiring him as our coach"

Agree with it or disagree with it, there is no argument its a huge issue that should be at the forefront of his application review

"Yeah, he's dedicated his professional life to Nazism, but I don't see how that would impact his role as president."

I’m going to leave it at this bc I’m not going to sit here for an hour arguing with you, my actual point is:

1- Most of you on here have zero understanding of what goes into running a University system and are making huge assumptions about what he wouldn’t or wouldn’t do in that role without actually listening to what he says about the subject.

2- This culture we have in this country of immediate ostracizing anyone and everyone on the opposing political sports team is absurd. The left is more culpable of this for the most part but y’all are doing the exact same thing here.
