Coach Miles: With the Alabama pass rush being so fierce, we needed Jefferson's ability to scramble.
Reporter: If Jefferson avoids the rush so much better, then how do you explain the fact that this season Jefferson was sacked 14 times with 100 passing attempts, while Lee was sacked 4 times with 167 passing attempts?

Les will be very deceptive with any answers because he admits that that's what he does. Les doesn't have enough respect for the LSU fan base to give normal answers.

Agree it is an attempt to frame Rueben's departure and Shep's return in a positive light. This is for pure PR and recruiting purposes, and we will not be enlightened on anything of substance just like 99.999% of the time COM opens his mouth. Period. It is his own form of honey badgering us all - he is above accountability and explanation, he is king of lsu, he don't care what any of us think.

As meaningless as this presser likely is, I hope it produces something positive for the program... This is not the time to dwell on the negative. Besides, I seriously doubt there is anything he could say that would satisfy the haters. He did what he thought gave the team the best chance to win, it didn't work and that is that. Several times, things go in his favor on the questionable coaching decisions and this time it backfired. End of story.
