LSU's giving for its athletic programs is actually fairly robust, but the school has not been as successful when it comes to fundraising for academic programs, according to Moret.

Just more evidence of our misplaced priorities.

We will all pretend that you were a heavy donor prior to this declaration.

I went to LSU for a post graduate degree.
I give to my college, which really isn't the slightest bit needy.
I don't give to LSU, I must admit with some regret, because I think the school is a train wreck.
I am more proud of LSU athletics, to which I also give...

No, I don't claim to be a "heavy donor," but no more checks from me until a coaching change is made. Miles has made my arse quit.

So you actually donated to the school but won't donate now because Les Miles is the football coach? That doesn't make any sense.

Yes. Will donate to TAF again after Miles is replaced as HC. I finally had enough after the bama game this year. Don't care if it makes any sense to you or not.

Not that I'm a big money donor and not that it matters what I do, unless a bunch of other donors do the same.

Michigan simply followed bamas equation. Bought the best coach available. Gumps will tell you Saban was a great investment.

This isn't at all what UM did :roll eyes: CIC dollars alone put schools like UM in a class by themselves when it comes to institutional funding. Football is a nice little diversion.

TAF does not equal LSU. So you don't donate to the school. No one cares about your butt hurt about the most successful coach in school history. This is about donations to the university which not surprising, lsu people suck at.

No, I have never donated to the academic side other than tuition... I figure they got enough out of me for four years of out-of-state tuition. Not saying I never will however.

So you donate to LSU (academic side only) and have never donated to LSU athletics?

I consider LSU athletics to be a big part of LSU and don't separate the two like you are doing now.

ETA: will donate a big check and post it here to LSU academic side as soon as F-King is fired

It is not unheard of that some people do both.

I'm paying out of state tuition for my son after getting a degree and my wife getting two degrees from LSU with no tuition breaks. The rest of you deadbeats need to pony up.

Maybe we'll start giving when Miles leaves.

Why all the conversation on TAF? I swear people are stupid or don't read.

This article is about the academic side, the LSU foundation. Has nothing to do with athletics or TAF. And as noted in the article, athletic donations are robust and they're not going to miss your athletic donation.

I've had season tickets for multiple sports for close to 25 years now. In those 25 years I don't think I've ever set next to someone who went to LSU. I didn't attend LSU either. Maybe that's part of the problem.

When I get the rare chance to attend in a suite, the suite is owned by a company headed by two Nichols graduates.

As far as donating for non athletic stuff I really don't since I didn't attend LSU even tho I'm from Baton Rouge.

I didn't click on the link but I read most of the thread. Still not giving anything to LSU (academic or TAF) again until Miles is gone. Don't care if it doesn't make sense to you. That's fine if you don't agree, you are free to donate to whoever you want to.

How crazy would you think of someone who didn't want to give to TAF because they wanted a professor fired?
