REBEKAH ALLEN (from the Advocate) is a "mouthpiece" for the LSU administration. She writes WHATEVER they tell her to write. She is horrible.
She sucks as do all of the Advocate's Liberals. They can never write an article without their political leanings shining through. "Journalism"

“No reputable zoo and no reputable sanctuary is going to give a tiger to LSU,” said Debra Leahy, an expert in captive wildlife protection with the Humane Society of the United States. “The only source could be a shady pseudo-sanctuary or a roadside zoo, but by perpetuating the live mascot, they are participating in exotic animal trade."

But Busch Gardens — a Florida theme park that includes animal exhibits — would base decisions on the “quality of care, either through the standards establish through an accreditation process or through our own evaluation,” said its spokeswoman Karen Varga-Sinka
Is Busch Gardens not a reputable zoo? Not surprised Rebekah hid the Busch Gardens tidbit -- the solution to this "problem" -- at the bottom of the article. 4th to last paragraph. Used the first 42 paragraphs to stubbly promote the idea that LSU shouldn't get a new tiger.

The article is shamelessly slanted. There are less than 3,500 tigers left in the wild but the argument is that it is cruel for LSU to house and take care of a tiger the way it does. The only "trouble" LSU would have is PETA, and apparently people at The Advocate, kicking and screaming. Legally LSU can do whatever it chooses.

Where does that article mention the "LSU Administration" ? Either the OP never read it or has the reading comprehension of a 5-year-old.

Why do you keep posting the same lame response? Many on this thread have already explained this to you.
Well he's right. You are quite paranoid/delusional. I've never once seen you post anything other than some shite about FKing and Alleva. Maybe some fresh air will make you feel sane

But Jason Droddy, LSU vice president of policy and external affairs, said it’s likely the school would consider its options to keep the tradition alive..
“Of course we care about the ethical treatment of tigers, and all the variables you bring up here are all good variables to consider,” Droddy said. “But right now, our only concentration is on the health and welfare of Mike VI.”
I mean seriously did anyone actually read the article?

Just make the habitat into a legitimate sancturary with more than 1 cat that promotes conservation, education and reproduction of Siberian Tigers. You could even go ahead with the planned rennovations and expansion of the facility. Drop the Tiger to the stadium on Saturday nights and just have the most advanced, high tech, elaborate Tiger habitat and sanctuaray in the U.S.
Go on offense on this issue and stop playing defense. But first we have to get rid of King and maybe even Alleva.

No Mike, no money from me. I'll stand up to that shite with my pocketbook

Of course it doesn't. That's the point. Why would the Advocate decide to print this story? Rebekah Allen is a proven "mouthpiece" for the LSU administration. Can't you see that LSU is "floating" this story in an effort to set things up for a decision to NOT replace Mike VI.
should be easy for you to prove then

One thing we know is this leadership will eventually make a decision... and then reverse course two weeks later.

Cool emoji, bro. Looks like you can't prove it.

You're pretty defensive of her. How long have you been in Rebekah's friend-zone?

She looks pretty good in her Twitter pic. Must be a bummer.

Brilliant words
Sorry for asking someone to backup such a definitive claim.
