He said he couldn't tell CBS not to pick them for the Friday after Thanksgiving game because they would forfeit the tv money.

How much is it? I'll start the collection to cover it.

Bama's already hanging the banners.

And in other news: a statue of Mike Slive is set to go right next to Nick Saban's according to bama officials

Simple solution: go 12-0 or 11-1.

Don't lose three games if you want to go to a premier bowl.

Is Alleva competent to the fact that the SEC commissioner is bias for Alabama and Auburn?

play lapdog to the SEC rather than acting in LSU's best interest

Then why do people continuously root for other teams in the Conference when their success comes at the expense of LSU?

I don't know all the details, but hopefully this would lead to the end of the bowl system as we know it. It's an antiquated system that needs to be replaced with a full playoff.

A spot in a bowl games used to be something only the very best teams in the country earned each year, and there was excitement in your team making a bowl game because there were just a select number of them. Now, a truly mediocre season garners you a spot in a bowl because there are just so many. It's not seen as any sort of monumental accomplishment to make it to a bowl game anymore, thus interest for fans to attend these events is wainning each year.

Yeah I get that but you realize we were the last automatic qualifying team in the nation to take a bye week this year? They have made it painfully obvious that they are going to take a bye week before the week of Bama every. I understand but we could use that second bye week before Ole Miss or before another SEC team where we have a long sec stretch like this year or next year. Instead you are forced to put your second bye week on the Saturday before Thanksgiving or else you risk having a huge upset in that week or being unprepared for A&M

This is what I don't freaking understand. Shouldn't you want a bye week in between your first rush of SEC games, then right before Bama? Alleva and the commish are fricking LSU out of an earlier breather and our guys are going to be worn out every year because they "believe" the smartest thing in the world is to have two bye weeks in a month at the end of the fricking year.

TigerCub LSU AD Joe Alleva just said this on ESPNBR The 6 playoff bowls will still choose teams like they do now (as long as they meet certain criteria). It's the other SEC bowls that the SEC office will assign teams to.

I didn't know it was double elimination.
