I don’t often get truly pissed watching this team, but the decision to pinch hit a guy batting .143 with what 15 ABs all season, for a guy who hit a bomb in the game already and has come through in multiple spots this year, that is mind blowing

So you think Jay is going to take a risk again where you have bad gloves behind the plate next year? He's going to get a defensive catcher so Serna and Bide will want guarantees they're not going to get. Bide is in a money year next year. How do you convince him to stay if he knows he takes risk at riding the pine behind Serna/whoever comes in? Someone is going to promise the spot to him.

Something has to give. Either Jay is just going to ride with the 2 guys he has or he's not going to take the risk again. Based on his comments, I don't see how he takes a chance at Bide/Serna next year hoping they develop gloves magically. 1 makes sense but not 2 without getting a good defensive catcher somewhere to ensure you don't run into the same problems we have this year.

Then how do you convince any catcher worth a salt with a good glove to come to LSU when you already have Serna/Bide on the roster? So what is it? Bring another guy in or just ride with his 2 guys? I seriously doubt Jay is going to risk this again after watching this season.

Why wasn't Lachenmayer getting much run early in the season? He was one of our highest ranked transfers and didnt get many opportunities early on but now we are seeing him a little more and he looks like one of the better options out of the pen compared to some of the ones we have marched out all year and have failed
