It wasn't an awful send. 2 outs, better probability to score with a throw off the mark there than having to get another hit.

It’s an aggressive play to force the other team to make the play. I don’t hate it, but it has diminishing returns in SEC play.

I don’t hate it with the current score but Cain should be looking at more than the outs and where the ball is hit. Thompson wasn’t in a good enough position on the base paths to warrant the send. He hit the 3rd base bag well and found another gear to even make it respectable.
In a vacuum that’s a pretty bad send. In the context of this game I really don’t care.
