Possibly. #32 non conf SOS is strong. But their league outside of Northeastern, is pretty weak.

Is Liberty's two losses to a sorry arse Jacksonville team enough to drop their RPI so they are not a potential at large team?

Doubtful. What a great day, lsu has dropped 2 spots in the rpi and bama has jumped up 3 spots

With the RPI where it is now, doesn't that uninspired effort against NW State loom large. So many games...one more win in any of them and we don't get left out. But here we are.

Tulane won over USF to force another game in their bracket. That could help ECU by stretching out the pitching of those 2 teams, provided the fightin' Godwins can beat UCF again to get to the final.

In other results LSU may need to keep going their way, Oregon leads Cal by 1 at the 7th inning stretch and Maryland leads Indiana in the 6th, 3-0.

I don’t think RPI means much this year. Top 50 wins conference wins and SOS holds more weight

If it was the same as softball then we would be a lock. Heck, they got a top 8 national seed just for playing a tough schedule. They didn’t even have to win the games.

I remember seeing a bunch of people saying RPI did not mean as much this year because of the circumstances, but I thought I read somewhere that whenever they announced the 20 potential host sites that RPI played a big factor into that list.

I bet it depends on what team it is and how their season went and who they played. For some teams, RPI will matter a lot more than for other teams.

I think RPI aligned with 20 teams that were deserving at the time.

I'll be pissed if we don't make and it and they do. Their 3 SEC series wins are against Auburn, A&M and Missouri.

No way Liberty should get in - that league doesn’t deserve more than one bid.

They absolutely shouldn't. That doesn't mean they wont.

Oregon beats Cal to win the series. Good for the bubble.

I feel like our only chance to not make it in is if there are 2-3 more bids stolen. Also depends if Campbell or liberty stay in.
