I'm weird about Cooper. I defended him when everyone crapped on him early in the season last year, but then when most came around to him, I started to dislike him as a pitcher.
I think Jay Johnson trusts him way more than he should.

Putting Shores in with clean bases to start the bottom of the 5th up 5-2 would have been a nice spot.

Problem is, Chase shores is not known for his strike throwing. You throw in the incompetent umpiring at the plate and this is set up for a huge inning for the aggies.

He has never really been clutch at all. Why he is allowed to pitch on weekends is beyond me. He lost his balance on a slow move to 2nd and almost fell toward 1st.

I agree with this. Last year we had to lean on him a lot. Don’t believe that needs to happen this year. We have to many other legit options this year.

First two guys had tight zones across the board. Today’s ump has been much more inconsistent.
