Florida, Vandy, and A&M come to The Box. We have to go to Knoxville and Fayettville, though. Another SEC grind. Florida, (short week) Arkansas, Vandy, and Tennessee all in a row. We finish the SEC with a short week from Tuscaloosa to Ole Miss at The Box. Buckle up.

We’re Not pre-season number 1? Fire him now.

Is the roster finalized to a roster limit? Or will still be transfers/red shirts?

Koki Riley had an article the other day that outlined Cooley, Dale, Thompson, Lape, and Seo as redshirts. That gets us to 40.

Think that ranking will put a bigger chip on this teams shoulder. Let the disrespect begin and we just answer with a good old fashion beat down.

Yep. I believe Lape and Seo are medicals. Thompson is versatile enough to fill in with any other injuries - he can pitch and play infield. Cooley and Dale are OF only guys, in a crowded OF group. They need to add some weight, too.

Always thought the first baseman would have caught that if he was not called off. He had a good track on it.

This is the kind of forward thinking we need to win Championships!

If we fire him now, we can be the first in the market to get a good coach. I'll call SW first thing in the morning.

Defending National Champions ! Our Tigers play over one third (1/3) of their season schedule against Top 25 competition.IMO only Wake has comperal talent and deserves to be ranked where they are preseason.Looking forward to improvements to the Box.
It ain't where you are ranked to Start ...it's where you are at the End ! Geaux Tigers.

All the ones I encountered in Omaha were miserable human beings. I now actively root against them in all sports.

Well that's just an ignorant statement.

There are a lot of deep rosters, particularly in the SEC.

Can Koki be as good as Luke?

It needs to be pointed out that there is a better chance we don't make it back to Omaha than do this season. Not because this team isn't talented or anything, but because it's really fricking hard for the defending champ to recapture that magic the following season.

Ever since South Carolina run of three straight finals appearances from 2010-12, the defending champ from 2013 onward has only made it back to Omaha the following season three times and there is even a technicality involved in that with Vandy making it in 2021 after 2020 was COVID'd following their 2019 win.

I know this board will quickly turn on Jay if LSU bows out in the regionals or supers this year, but we have to accept that there will never be anything close to the 90's ever again.

Making it to Omaha is still above a 50% chance imo. Winning it all is still small. We are definitely an Omaha team if this pitching stays healthy. In fact, our pitching is likely to get deeper with the return of guys in the middle of the season.

No.

But he's already better than everyone else.

I'd say supers is over 50%, Omaha is, at best, a toss up.

But that's also the case with the most talented teams.
