Not a great half inning on defense for Hampton. Then follows that up hitting into a dp. It happens. Not ready to throw him to the wolves yet.

If you consider hitting into a double play with that particular swing a bad thing, then I don't really know what to tell you other than to turn the game off and find something else to do. He crushed that ball and there happened to be a hit and run on which moved the second baseman right to where the ball went and there was no chance for the runner to our around.

Hit and run. If that ball is hit 6 inches higher, runner either scores or is on 3rd with no outs easily.
