Nationals have 1st overall pick. $8.9 mil signing bonus. Unfortunately that will register highest tax bracket at 48 fricking percent. He'll get 37% taken from Fed especially given it's a one time payment which IRS taxes you as if that is what you are earning biweekly. Then DC tax rate is 11% on over $1 million. So the take home would be $4.5 mil roughly.
