Im pretty sure you can't count sportsnation as a "ranking".

Exactly. Growing up as a fan in the 70's, 80's and early 90's we would have been ecstatic just to be considered middle of the road. Or during Hallman's tenure to not be considered a doormat.

The SEC has had the last 4 national champions, considering all that we have to overcome this year with still a question at QB and such a young defense, #3 in this league is pretty awesome.

What's even more funny is when people get so spoiled that it's a bad thing to be ranked behind two schools that have won the past 3 NC's.
Guess what? LSU football didnt start it's inaugural season in 2000 when Saban arrived.

you do realize that the 3rd school that won the NC in the past 3 years was LSU right?? Also Florida has a new starter at QB and Bama lost 9 of 11 on Defence...spoiled you say? with the talent on this team we should be #1 but we are not.....

I believe the OP was being a little facetious, because we've been picked by the SEC media to finish fourth in our own division...
LSU finishes no worse than third in conference...

so what's wrong with that? when I look at their schedule the only game you can count as a loss is their last game which is @ bama and that being a rivalry you can't even count that one. They host Clemson, South Carolina, Arkansas, Georgia, & LSU. They should be favored in all of those. They travel to Miss St, UK, Ole Miss, & bama as i mentioned before. Will probably be favored in all of those except Bama. If LSU's schedule looked like that you would say they're going to run the table.
