Very different. Some familiar faces, but we're losing a lot, and also gaining a lot (and I've honestly lost track at this point). So it's hard to say at this point. But one thing I've learned is, don't bet against Jay.

The pitching staff might not have a Skenes, but with 4 incoming quality transfers and what’s returning, it will probably be better top to bottom than last year. Initially you would think there would be a dropoff in hitting, but Jay will probably improve that quickly. Look what he did with Millazo last year.

I do think next year's pitching staff will be better than this one, overall (assuming no injuries). Obviously we lose Skenes, we won't have as good of an ace. As well as Floyd, another tough one to lose. But we bring in quite a few quality transfers, so that hopefully we'll have enough quality depth. I know that's something Jay was focused on.

The Score Board might be inactive, but my "I WAS HERE" thread is still there. Which basically said I was in Omaha for the national championship, and was happy to witness it, that's all. So until they delete that in favor of some fancy foosball game, this thread is fair game.

Fans have short memories. Other than Skenes, last year’s staff struggled until late in the season. Next year’s staff has a chance to be better earlier.
